Remote PHP Software Engineer (India)

About the role

FullStack is looking for an experienced PHP Software Engineer to join its talent network and work on U.S. client projects remotely from India. You will become an integral part of the client’s development team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers to deliver high‑quality web solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP and frameworks such as CakePHP.
• Work within the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) to build scalable applications.
• Implement frontend features with JavaScript, jQuery, and React.
• Build and consume REST APIs, integrate third‑party services, and support Node.js‑based components.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3) and manage database performance.
• Maintain legacy systems, refactor monolithic codebases, and ensure production stability.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jira, Bitbucket, and Docker.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.
• Commitment to a 40‑hour work week and strong ownership of deliverables.
