Remote iOS Engineer – $85/hr Contract

About the role

Mercor is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to work remotely on cutting‑edge AI‑assisted coding projects. You will evaluate and improve model‑generated mobile code, applying professional engineering judgment to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Use frontier AI coding agents to complete and assess complex engineering tasks.
• Review model‑generated iOS code for correctness, quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI‑produced outputs.
• Compare outputs from multiple AI models and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic mobile engineering scenarios.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications with Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.
• Ability to evaluate model‑generated mobile implementations and architectural decisions.

What we offer

• Compensation of $85 per hour.
• Additional $400 per accepted task (typical tasks take 2–3 hours after ramp‑up).
