Regular Faculty Positions – Various Disciplines

About the role

The University invites applications for regular faculty positions across a wide range of disciplines, including Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Law, and Education. Selected candidates will join Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University as Assistant Professors, Associate Professors or Professors, contributing to teaching, research and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars in the assigned subject.
• Design and update curricula, course materials and assessment tools.
• Conduct scholarly research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Supervise student projects, theses and dissertations.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees and university outreach activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 55 % marks (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
• Cleared UGC‑NET/CSIR‑NET or equivalent (SLET/SET) or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.
• For Assistant Professor: entry‑level qualification; for Associate Professor: Ph.D. and minimum eight years of teaching/research experience.
• Good academic record and commitment to higher‑education standards.
