About the role

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) invites applications for regular faculty positions at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor across a wide range of disciplines. The university, currently operating from temporary premises in Patna and Gaya, is preparing to shift to its permanent 300‑acre campus near Gaya. Successful candidates will join a growing academic community dedicated to research, teaching and societal impact.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and seminars in the appointed discipline.
• Design and update curricula in line with contemporary academic standards.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in peer‑reviewed or UGC‑listed journals, and secure research funding.
• Supervise and mentor doctoral and postgraduate students.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university committees.
• Contribute to community outreach and extension activities where relevant.

Required profile

• Professor: Ph.D. in the relevant field, minimum 10 publications, research score of 120, at least 10 years of teaching/research experience and a record of guiding Ph.D. candidates.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. with a Master's degree (≥55% marks), minimum 7 publications, research score of 75, and at least 8 years of teaching/research experience.
• Assistant Professor: Ph.D. (or equivalent) and a relevant postgraduate degree, meeting UGC publication norms and possessing appropriate teaching/research experience.
