Registered Nurse – Aviation Medical Services (Bengaluru Airport)

About the role

The Medical Department of an airline at Bengaluru Airport is seeking a Registered Nurse to conduct DGCA‑mandated medical tests, provide clinical care to staff and passengers, and support administrative functions. The role combines regulatory compliance, emergency response, and routine outpatient services in a fast‑paced airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct breath‑alcohol testing and assist with random psychoactive substance testing for cockpit crew, cabin crew, and ground personnel in line with DGCA requirements.
• Attend to OPD patients, perform initial assessments, follow doctors’ orders, and deliver first‑aid and emergency care.
• Handle MEDIF passenger calls, collect medical information and relay it to the on‑duty doctor.
• Prepare and maintain First Aid Kits, Medical Kits, Universal Precaution Kits and AEDs.
• Arrange calibration, track movement of alcohol testing instruments and manage medical inventory.
• Download required CCTV footage, maintain DGCA‑mandated documentation and medical records.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and execute duties assigned by the Head of Medical Services.

Required profile

• GNM Diploma or BSc in Nursing (Registered Nurse) with a valid registration with the Nursing Council of India.
• 1–2 years of clinical care or aviation medical experience preferred.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, in a high‑stress environment.
• Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
