Regional Vice President of Sales – India

About the role

Cognition is expanding its AI‑driven solutions into India and is looking for a senior sales executive to launch and scale the business. As the Regional Vice President of Sales, you will be the first senior hire in the market, responsible for building the go‑to‑market strategy, establishing key partnerships, and delivering revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the India P&L, hiring, sales execution and operational performance.
• Build and lead a high‑performing local team across sales, customer success, engineering, support and operations.
• Develop strategic partnerships with Indian enterprises and government agencies.
• Drive end‑to‑end sales cycles, close complex deals directly and through partners.
• Collaborate with global leadership to align product‑market fit for India.
• Represent Cognition in India’s business and technology ecosystem.
• Implement scalable processes for onboarding, implementation and customer success.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering on localisation and feature needs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in fast‑growing software or AI companies in India.
• Proven track record launching and scaling operations in new markets.
• Deep relationships and understanding of India’s enterprise and government sectors.
• Strong enterprise sales, partnership and GTM experience with complex deal closures.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution ability.
• Experience building cross‑functional teams from the ground up.
• Passion for technology, innovation and shaping the future of work.
