Regional Financial Controller

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly MIS and management reports for the Mumbai branch, and produce quarterly and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and closure activities.
• Monitor accounting processes, reconcile ledgers, manage branch cash flow, and oversee cash counter activities.
• Handle budgeting, variance analysis, and prepare additional business analysis reports as required by management.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and other statutory regulations, resolve GST issues and coordinate with taxation teams.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, provide audit schedules, reports and support quarter‑end and year‑end audit requirements.
• Liaise with banks, vendors and customers on financial, taxation and payment matters, and collaborate with corporate finance and inter‑company stakeholders.
• Drive finance process improvements, identify automation opportunities, manage ERP‑related issues and support business transformation initiatives.
• Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team, manage workload distribution and develop team capabilities.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Prior experience in logistics, shipping, NVOCC or freight forwarding industry is preferred.
• Strong exposure to financial controls, taxation, audits and business partnering.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of GST, TDS and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
• Expertise in financial statement preparation, accounting, financial reporting and financial controls.
• Proficiency in budgeting, MIS reporting and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage statutory and internal audits independently.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and finance process automation.
