Regional Financial Controller

About the role

The Regional Financial Controller will report to the CFO‑APAC and oversee statutory compliance, risk policies and audit processes across APAC markets. Based in Mumbai, you will act as the primary liaison between local finance teams, Group auditors and the Group Finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise Group and local audits, ensuring all accounting and tax statutory requirements are met on schedule.
• Serve as the main contact for Group auditors and coordinate audit deliverables with the Group Finance team.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to complete statutory audits, including data collection, analytical review and audit report finalisation.
• Partner with Group Legal, Company Secretary and Tax teams to file company documents and tax returns.
• Reconcile management results to audited accounts and explain variances.
• Track, reconcile and review audit adjustments in monthly reporting.
• Implement latest accounting standards, Group policies and prepare financial statements with appropriate disclosures.
• Monitor emerging technical issues and assess their impact on the APAC region.
• Deploy Group risk‑management processes and ensure continuous compliance.
• Handle corporate secretary matters, dividend payments, lease administration and other ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, risk management and internal control systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial information.
• Proven ability to review large data sets, identify inconsistencies and present findings clearly.
• Effective problem‑solving skills and investigative mindset.
