Reconciliations Processor

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Reconciliations Processor to join its finance team. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate fund reconciliations, supporting automation initiatives, and helping roll out new products and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide critical inputs and facilitate the rollout of new products and activities within the Reconciliations function.
• Drive efficiencies through automation and process improvements.
• Support migration and re‑migration of funds and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Formulate and implement robust control mechanisms to mitigate risk.
• Perform process‑control activities, reviewing funds to guarantee accurate reconciliations.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members (approximately 20% of the role).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or PGDBM degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Good knowledge of capital markets, financial instruments, and end‑to‑end product processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the fund accounting model.
• Ability to re‑prioritise workloads, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
