Raw Materials Procurement Specialist (TM)

About the role

The Raw Materials Procurement Specialist (TM) is responsible for coordinating, exploring and developing sources for new and advanced raw materials required by value‑added product lines. The role ensures continuous supply of critical chemicals such as aluminium hydrate, soda ash, hydrated lime and varium, supporting both existing operations and upcoming projects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new vendors for raw and packing materials, conduct sampling, testing, trial orders, and secure long‑term contracts.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement of bulk chemical commodities, including customs clearance, port storage coordination, and transportation to plants.
• Ensure continuous supply of raw materials for ongoing and upcoming value‑added product lines.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives across procurement, logistics and supply‑chain functions, preparing and implementing action plans.
• Execute purchase activities in strict accordance with SOPs, maintaining zero audit observations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
• Extensive experience in chemical raw‑material procurement and vendor development.
• Proven ability to manage large‑volume imports, customs documentation and logistics.
