About the role
The Rajasthan Post Office is hiring Rural Postmen (ग्रामीण डाक सेवक) for vacancies across all tehsils of Udaipur and Vallabh Nagar. A total of 1,577 posts are available, allocated among General, OBC, SC and Scheduled Tribe categories. The last date to submit applications is 04 May 2017.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail in designated rural areas.
- Maintain accurate postal records and registers.
- Provide basic banking and financial services offered by the post office.
- Ensure timely and secure handling of parcels and letters.
- Interact with customers and address their queries.
- Uphold postal regulations and service standards.
Required profile
- Minimum educational qualification: completion of 10th standard.
- Candidate must belong to one of the specified categories (General, OBC, SC, ST) as per vacancy distribution.
- Other eligibility criteria such as age will follow the official notification.
