Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Assystem is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support its infrastructure projects in Bengaluru. The role involves managing quantities, cost estimation, budgeting, billing and contract administration across roads, railways, bridges and related works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs, bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Verify executed quantities and monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Process client RA bills, certify subcontractor invoices and manage variations, claims and change orders.
• Support tendering, procurement and commercial evaluations.
• Coordinate with project, planning and finance teams for cost reporting and controls.
• Maintain commercial records, measurement sheets and contractual documentation, and produce periodic cost and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–15 years of quantity surveying experience on infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, railways, metros, bridges, airports or water works.

Required skills

• Quantity Take‑Off (QTO) and BOQ management.
• Cost estimation and budget control.
• Contract and claims management.
• Billing and payment certification.
• Rate analysis and tendering.
• Advanced MS Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera/MS Project, SAP/ERP systems.
