Quantity Surveyor & Cost Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage the financial and quantitative aspects of construction projects, ensuring precision and project integrity. The role involves close collaboration with project teams and stakeholders to ensure cost transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Execute meticulous quantification from drawings and design information.
• Verify quantities supplied by engineers or vendors for accuracy.
• Obtain and analyse quotations and pricing from suppliers to support cost‑effective decisions.
• Develop comprehensive estimates, bills of quantities and bills of materials.
• Perform rate analysis and maintain robust project WBS structures.
• Implement and maintain project baseline budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Set, track and control baseline budgets and deliver timely project reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience in building sector quantity surveying and cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of structural and architectural items for commercial, residential, airport, metro and warehouse projects.
• Understanding of contract conditions and CPWD publications (DSR, PAR, MORTH, Maharashtra PWD rates).
• Proficiency in industry‑standard software, including AutoCAD and BIM tools.

Required skills

• AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Revit or other BIM software.
• Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis.
