Quality Engineer – Blade Finishing (QA)

About the role

The Engineer – Finishing (QA Blade) ensures surface quality, dimensional accuracy and balance of wind turbine blades during the final finishing stage. Working within Adani Wind Turbine Generators, the role conducts inspections, records findings and drives corrective actions to meet ISO 9001 and internal specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor finishing parameters such as sanding depth, coating application and curing conditions.
• Identify surface defects, cracks, paint inconsistencies and coordinate re‑sanding, repainting or repairs.
• Lead defect‑reduction projects for the finishing area.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, defect logs and corrective‑action documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports for each blade.
• Provide feedback for process improvement and participate in trials of new finishing materials.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal blade‑finishing standards.

Required profile

• Experience conducting inspections during blade finishing.
• Ability to identify and document surface defects.
• Familiarity with corrective‑action coordination and defect‑reduction initiatives.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards.
