Quality Control Technician – Hyderabad

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform incoming, in‑process and final inspections of mechanical components and assemblies at our Hyderabad facility. The role involves ensuring that parts meet engineering specifications and tolerances while supporting our production and supplier quality activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, machined parts, fabricated components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, fits, tolerances and GD&T requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometres, height gauges, dial gauges, bore gauges, feeler gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges and surface gauges.
• Inspect machining, welding, fabrication, grinding and assembly operations to identify defects and non‑conformities.
• Prepare Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected or non‑compliant components.
• Maintain accurate inspection, quality and traceability records using MS Excel and MS Word.
• Support QC Engineers during customer, supplier and third‑party inspections.
• Travel to vendor facilities for inspection and quality verification, potentially more than 50 % of the time.
• Communicate quality issues clearly with engineers, production teams and external vendors.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control or mechanical inspection.
• Experience in precision or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments and inspection methods.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, fits, tolerances and GD&T.
• Willingness to travel extensively for vendor inspections.
