QA/QC Manager – Power Transmission, Substation & Renewable Integration

About the role

AECOM is looking for a senior QA/QC Manager to lead quality management for power transmission, substation and renewable integration projects. The role acts as the Owner’s Quality Representative, overseeing engineering, procurement, construction, testing and hand‑over phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in line with ISO 9001 and project‑specific requirements.
• Review EPC engineering deliverables (SLDs, schematics, civil drawings, protection schemes) for compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS and ISO standards.
• Lead vendor pre‑qualification, factory inspections and FAT/SAT for critical equipment such as transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear and BESS components.
• Implement site‑level inspections, material verification and ITP hold‑points across substations, transmission lines and renewable plants.
• Supervise commissioning activities, grid synchronization tests and ensure compliance with grid codes and contractual performance guarantees.
• Manage NCRs, CAPA, root‑cause analysis and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of QA/QC experience in power sector projects, including transmission (66 kV‑765 kV), substations (AIS/GIS) and renewable energy.
• Proven experience in PMC/EPC environments with large‑scale, multi‑location infrastructure projects.
