QA/QC Manager – Hydropower & Civil Structures

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and control activities on large‑scale hydropower and civil infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing all aspects of quality planning, inspection, testing and documentation to ensure compliance with client, contractual and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Approve and monitor Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Method Statements.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, IS Codes, ASTM and other international standards.
• Conduct internal, external and vendor/sub‑contractor quality audits and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Supervise comprehensive inspection and testing of concrete works, underground structures, dams, steel reinforcement and formwork.
• Approve material sources, oversee calibration of testing equipment and manage field and laboratory testing.
• Maintain a robust document‑control system, review inspection reports, test results and material approvals.
• Prepare monthly quality reports, KPI dashboards and ensure traceability of all quality records.
• Integrate QA/QC activities with EHS and project planning, identify and mitigate quality risks.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory); M.Tech in Structures, Geotechnical or Hydropower (preferred).
• Extensive experience with hydropower, dam engineering, tunneling and concrete technology.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and QA/QC tools.
• Proven leadership, decision‑making and stakeholder‑management abilities.
