QA Engineer

About the role

Tintri, a DDN company, builds enterprise storage platforms that power mission‑critical virtualized environments. The QA Engineering team is the last line of defense before every VMstore release reaches a customer, validating everything from core storage protocols to data‑at‑rest encryption. We are looking for a QA Engineer who is comfortable writing automation code, working hands‑on with storage hardware, and tracing defects back to their root cause.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, automate and execute test plans and test cases for storage platforms.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Understand and manage the defect life cycle.
• Collaborate with developers to define test strategies and requirements.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of defects and drive issues to resolution.
• Conduct sanity, smoke, performance and stress testing.
• Document test execution processes and results.

Required profile

• Strong programming ability with hands‑on experience in Python or another scripting language.
• Good understanding of NVMe, SAS and SATA concepts.
• Hands‑on experience in Linux troubleshooting and debugging.
• Experience with at least one hypervisor.
