PYP UOI Teacher – Inquiry-Based Primary Education

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and creative PYP UOI Teacher to join our academic team in Puducherry. The role focuses on delivering inquiry‑based learning within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, fostering curiosity and conceptual understanding among young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Unit of Inquiry lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Foster inquiry‑based and student‑centered learning experiences.
• Integrate interdisciplinary concepts into classroom teaching.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with coordinators, teachers, and parents for student development.
• Participate in school events, training sessions, and academic planning meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject.
• 1–3 years of teaching experience, preferably with IB PYP.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Passion for experiential and inquiry‑based learning.

• Knowledge of the IB curriculum and pedagogical practices.
• Creative, activity‑based teaching methods.
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
