Purchase Manager

About the role

Accor is seeking a strategic and detail‑oriented Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations at its Kochi location. You will be responsible for driving efficiency, cost optimisation and supplier excellence while aligning purchasing strategies with the company’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement policies, procedures and strategies that support operational efficiency.
• Forecast procurement needs in collaboration with department heads to ensure timely sourcing of goods and services.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors, considering local market dynamics.
• Manage purchasing systems and approval workflows, ensuring accurate purchase orders, supplier setup, pricing, contract terms and approval limits.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and terms to achieve optimal value, quality and service levels.
• Source and evaluate new suppliers and products to enhance quality, sustainability and innovation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delivery discrepancies, pricing variances and invoice queries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a large organisation.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
