Purchase Executive – Packaging Materials

About the role
Sun Chem India is seeking a proactive Purchase Executive to manage the sourcing of packaging materials for its skincare, haircare, and personal care product lines. You will work closely with production, quality, R&D, and finance teams to ensure uninterrupted supply and cost‑effective procurement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement of packaging materials.
- Develop and qualify vendors, negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement cost‑optimization strategies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records in the ERP system.
- Coordinate cross‑functional requirements with Production, QA, R&D, and Finance.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of purchase or procurement experience in cosmetics, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation and vendor‑management capabilities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
