Purchase Engineer

About the role
The Purchase Engineer will manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for industrial automation, lighting, and related supplies. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of materials across Rexel’s Indian operations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a robust supplier database and execute RFQs efficiently.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors to guarantee flawless material supply.
- Negotiate payment terms, lead times, and costs to achieve savings.
- Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues as they arise.
- Prepare MIS reports according to internal requirements.
- Implement internal sourcing strategies focused on cost reduction and timely quotations.
Required profile
- 5‑8 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Diploma or equivalent degree.
