About the role
Rexel India is seeking a Purchase Engineer to manage supplier relationships and ensure seamless material supply across its extensive network of branches and stock points. The role focuses on executing RFQs, negotiating terms, and supporting the internal sourcing strategy to drive cost savings and timely deliveries.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and leverage a robust supplier database to issue accurate RFQs.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee flawless material supply.
- Negotiate payment terms, lead times, and costs to achieve optimal purchasing conditions.
- Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors as needed.
- Prepare MIS reports in line with company requirements.
- Implement internal sourcing strategies aimed at cost reduction and timely quotations.
Required profile
- 5‑8 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
- Diploma or equivalent degree.
- Proven ability to manage the full procurement cycle, from RFQ to delivery.
