Public Relations Specialist – Entertainment (Mumbai)

About the role

Amazon Prime Video India is seeking an experienced entertainment public‑relations professional to lead publicity campaigns for its growing slate of original, exclusive, and licensed content. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the Head of Communications, you will shape earned‑media coverage across series, films, unscripted programming, and live sports.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute PR campaigns for locally produced Amazon Originals, licensed titles and select global series.
• Draft press materials such as releases, media alerts, talking points, Q&As and briefing documents.
• Proactively pitch stories to news and digital outlets to secure high‑impact coverage.
• Plan and deliver publicity events including premieres, junkets, set visits and talent interviews.
• Coordinate logistics and media relations with talent teams, production partners and representatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Indian entertainment and media journalists.
• Manage both proactive and reactive media inquiries to protect and amplify brand reputation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in entertainment or media public relations, preferably within the Indian market.
• Exceptional written communication and storytelling ability.
• Ability to work quickly and precisely under tight deadlines.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail and capacity to juggle multiple workstreams.
• Deep knowledge of India’s entertainment landscape and media ecosystem.
