Public Health Engineer – Airport Terminals

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Public Health Engineer to lead the design and delivery of public health systems for large‑scale airport terminal projects across India. The role involves managing all phases from concept through commissioning while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop water supply, drainage, sewage treatment, storm‑water management and rain‑water harvesting systems for airport terminals.
• Coordinate PHE activities across all project stages, preparing specifications, drawings and tender documents.
• Monitor schedules, budgets and deliverables; conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during construction and commissioning, ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Integrate sustainable design practices such as water conservation and recycling.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors and stakeholders on all PHE matters and deliver technical presentations and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of public health engineering experience, with at least 5 years on airport terminal or similar large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
