Public Health Coordinator – School-Based CMD Prevention

About the role

PATH is seeking two Public Health Coordinators to provide field‑level technical and coordination support for a school‑based cardio‑metabolic disease (CMD) prevention and management program in Bhopal district, Madhya Pradesh. The role involves working directly with schools, health ambassadors, screening teams and counselling staff to ensure quality delivery and accurate data capture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities with Health and Wellness Ambassadors, peer educators, RBSK screening teams, UMANG counsellors and AAM staff in assigned schools.
• Assist schools in implementing Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) activities on nutrition, physical activity, tobacco/alcohol prevention and health‑seeking behaviour.
• Support the development, pre‑testing and rollout of IEC/BCC materials and themed health campaigns.
• Facilitate standardized BMI screening, ensure correct protocols and complete documentation.
• Track at‑risk students through the referral pathway from counselling to assessment, treatment initiation and follow‑up, addressing any drop‑offs.
• Maintain school‑level and student‑level program data, including screening registers, referral trackers and counselling records.

Required profile

• Experience in public health coordination or related field work.
• Familiarity with school‑based health programs and government health initiatives.
• Ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders, including education and health authorities.
• Strong organizational skills for data management and reporting.
