Project Procurement Buyer

About the role

The Project Procurement Buyer is responsible for executing day‑to‑day procurement activities that support project and production needs. You will work closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely purchase of goods and services while complying with corporate procurement policies and budget guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Support tender teams early in the supplier selection process and define project‑specific procurement strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, documentation, and contracts.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and monitor delivery performance.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, frame agreements, and project procurement plans.
• Report progress of procurement activities to project teams and contribute to project review meetings.
• Implement cost‑cutting initiatives such as target‑costing and procurement planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project‑oriented procurement or buying.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
