Project Nurse III – Infection Control (Mahim)

About the role

The Project Nurse III will join our Mahim hospital to lead infection prevention and control initiatives across clinical and non‑clinical areas. This position offers a yearly fixed‑term contract and is suitable for recent graduates as well as candidates with some experience in nursing.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and protocols throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee on outbreak investigations, risk assessments, and equipment‑related infection hazards.
• Deliver periodic training sessions on IPC practices for healthcare workers at the primary site and associated project sites.
• Conduct surveillance of Healthcare‑Associated Infections (HAIs) including BSI, CAUTI, VAP, SSI and perform spot surveillance activities.
• Perform regular audits and ensure compliance with hand hygiene, biomedical waste management, environmental cleaning, and injection safety protocols.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Nursing degree.
• Freshers are welcome; any prior exposure to infection control is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
