About the role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Transmission Line, HVDC & Substation to lead the successful delivery of transmission line, HVDC terminal station, and substation packages as part of a large‑scale power infrastructure program. The role manages safety, quality, schedule, cost, stakeholder coordination, risk management and contractual compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for transmission line, HVDC terminal station and substation packages, establishing execution plans, delivery strategies and governance structures.
- Manage project interfaces across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, protection, SCADA, telecommunications and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget and safety requirements.
- Coordinate stakeholder and client communications, serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs and regulatory bodies, and lead project governance meetings.
- Oversee schedule, cost and commercial management including budget control, cost forecasting, change orders, contractor claims and cash‑flow monitoring.
- Provide technical and engineering oversight, reviewing design deliverables, constructability studies and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree or professional project‑management qualifications are a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in power transmission and distribution projects, including delivery of at least one major 400 kV/765 kV transmission line, HVDC or substation project.
- Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Track record in project controls, procurement, construction, commissioning and contract management.
