Project Manager – Pump Systems

About the role

DESMI is seeking a Project Manager to lead pump system projects for the IMEA market, from order intake through delivery and commissioning. You will work within a collaborative, innovative environment, ensuring projects meet customer requirements, budgets, and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution and stakeholder communication across sales, engineering, procurement, production, logistics, service, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage procurement activities and supplier relationships to secure timely delivery of components.
• Provide engineering and technical support, interpreting drawings, schematics, and system configurations.
• Plan and schedule project activities, monitor progress, and control costs.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Oversee logistics, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in pump industry, project engineering, or project management.
• Experience with industrial, marine, oil & gas, water‑treatment, or process pump projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Infor) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• PMP certification or strong knowledge of PMP methodology is an advantage.
• Additional project‑management training is a plus.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings, control‑panel schematics, VFD configurations, motor terminal‑box layouts, GA drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
• Knowledge of IEC motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), MCC systems, and basic instrumentation interfaces.
• Understanding of international standards (API, ISO, IEC, ASME) and project execution procedures.
• Technical expertise in centrifugal pumps and complete pumping systems.
• Proficiency with ERP (Infor) and CRM (Salesforce) tools.
• Application of PMP methodology for scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, communication, and procurement management.
