Project Manager – Flare Systems (Heavy Engineering)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of flare system projects from order handover through final completion. The role involves managing engineered equipment projects such as pressure vessels, process packages, skids, piping systems and oil & gas equipment while acting as the primary customer interface.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple flare system projects from sales handover through commissioning and closeout.
• Develop and monitor project execution plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Lead change‑order management activities including identification, documentation, costing, customer negotiations and implementation.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and global teams to ensure timely execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project and drive expediting activities to meet contractual timelines.
• Review customer specifications, contracts and technical requirements; support technical discussions and participate in HAZOP and design reviews.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, vendors, Zeeco global offices and internal stakeholders, providing accurate status reports and managing expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• PMP certification or equivalent project‑management certification (preferred).
• 10+ years of project‑management experience in heavy engineering or EPC projects.
• Proven experience executing projects involving flare systems, pressure vessels, process equipment, skid packages, heat exchangers or oil & gas equipment (preferred).
• Strong understanding of project commercial management, contract administration and cost control.

Required skills

• Project scheduling with MS Project or equivalent.
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Office Suite.
• ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Preparation and review of contract documentation.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Procurement and vendor management.
• Manufacturing progress monitoring and cost‑revenue tracking.
• Knowledge of ASME/API standards (desirable).
