Project Manager – Financial Control

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Project Manager – Financial Control to lead financial governance across KPMG’s project portfolio in India. The role will ensure budgeting, forecasting, cost control and compliance are embedded in project delivery, providing transparent financial insight to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, financial models and forecasts, aligning them with scope and timelines.
• Monitor budget utilization, track expenditures, and conduct variance analysis to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, dashboards and KPIs, delivering insights on project performance and profitability.
• Ensure adherence to KPMG financial policies, accounting standards and audit requirements, maintaining proper documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement and project teams to align financial plans and communicate status, risks and opportunities.
• Identify and implement process improvements, drive automation and support ERP or financial system enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project accounting, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data and present actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of compliance, audit processes and financial governance frameworks.
