Project Manager – Construction (K-12)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead construction projects for K-12 schools, coordinating planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting and design activities with district staff, architects, engineers and contractors. This position ensures projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while supporting the district’s educational mission.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage daily construction activities, including budgeting, scheduling and permitting.
• Collaborate with district administrators, architects, engineers and contractors to define project scope and design.
• Monitor construction sites, ensure compliance with specifications, and provide regular updates to principals and administrators.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and school staff to address facility needs.
• Support district strategic goals and maintain effective communication across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities planning, architecture, engineering, construction management or related field (TASBO certification preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Five years of progressive construction project‑management experience (or equivalent education).
• Three years of direct experience managing design and construction phases of multiple K‑12 projects.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD programs.
• Experience using Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
