Project Leader – ECU Mechanics Development

About the role

We are looking for a Project Leader to drive ECU mechanical development projects at Bosch’s Bangalore centre. The role will own the full lifecycle of mechanical sub‑projects, ensuring they meet quality, cost and delivery targets while coordinating a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams (Sales, Software, Hardware, Design, Quality, Purchasing, Production) for ECU mechanical projects.
• Define, analyse and finalise project requirements, specifications and technical scope from concept to series production.
• Plan, monitor and control schedules, milestones, approvals and agreements.
• Track performance against Quality, Cost, Delivery and Risk targets and trigger corrective actions.
• Conduct quantitative risk management and provide data‑driven inputs to steering committees.
• Manage technical, timeline, cost and quality risks proactively.
• Apply structured problem‑solving methods (8D, DAR, CAR, root‑cause analysis) and capture lessons learned.
• Oversee mechanical BOM creation, release and engineering change management.
• Ensure robustness, manufacturability and quality through DRBFM, quality assessments and maturity reviews.
• Coordinate with customers, partners and production plants to resolve industrialisation and field issues.

Required profile

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6‑10 years of experience in mechanical project leadership, preferably in automotive or electronics domains.
