Project Leader – ECU Mechanical Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Leader to drive the design, development and industrialization of advanced automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and related modules. The role owns the mechanical engineering development from concept through series production, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and OEMs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end mechanical engineering sub‑projects for ECUs, including requirement definition, specification, schedule management and series launch.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams such as Sales, Software, Hardware, Design, Quality, Purchasing and Production.
• Act as the primary mechanical engineering interface for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring technical alignment and milestone delivery.
• Track quality, cost, delivery and risk targets, and drive corrective and preventive actions using 8D, DAR, CAR and root‑cause analysis.
• Manage mechanical BOM generation, release and engineering change processes.
• Support industrialization, production readiness and field issue resolution in collaboration with manufacturing plants.

Required profile

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6‑10 years of experience in automotive ECU mechanical design, project management or industrialization.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and manage stakeholder expectations.
