Project Lead, Infection Diseases – Tuberculosis (India Country Program)

About the role

PATH is seeking a Project Lead to drive a nationally‑aligned tuberculosis preventive treatment (TPT) initiative across Maharashtra and Odisha. Reporting to the Deputy Director‑TB and working closely with State TB Officers, the Lead will manage day‑to‑day operations, especially in Mumbai, and ensure the project meets its multi‑state milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for planning, implementation, and monitoring of the TPT pilot in three districts of Mumbai and two districts of Odisha.
• Directly supervise on‑ground operations in Mumbai while coordinating activities across both states.
• Manage core project components, including digital screening tools, mobile diagnostics, drug supply chains, and doorstep delivery of medicines.
• Collaborate with private providers, NTEP teams, and technical partners to integrate virtual clinics, tele‑consultations, and national digital platforms.
• Lead NTEP review meetings, data‑driven performance management, and documentation of innovations for handover.
• Ensure timely achievement of performance‑based payment milestones.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale public‑health projects, preferably in tuberculosis or infectious disease programs.
• Strong familiarity with India’s National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) and related guidelines.
• Ability to oversee multi‑state operations and coordinate diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills to drive data‑based decision making.
