Project Engineering Manager – Renewables (Electrical Engineering)

About the role

The Project Engineering Manager – Renewables will lead the engineering delivery of sub‑station and solar projects, ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets are met. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will coordinate design teams, vendors and site execution to drive timely project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Project Planning Manager to align engineering deliveries with the overall project schedule.
• Conduct regular project review meetings and internal resource‑optimization sessions.
• Review and approve designs, calculations and drawings, ensuring timely customer approvals.
• Clarify technical issues with vendors and secure timely material deliveries to site.
• Oversee multi‑discipline coordination (civil, structural, MEP, instrumentation) and resolve design conflicts.
• Prepare accurate quantity estimates and Bill of Materials for procurement.
• Monitor critical design issues, support site execution teams and ensure BIM implementation.
• Resolve procurement challenges and assist supply‑chain management in finalising vendor orders.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 18 years of experience, primarily in sub‑station design and execution of renewable energy projects.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams across multiple projects and geographies.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, both AC and DC system design, and associated civil, MEP and instrumentation interfaces.

• AP, PSCAD and CYMGRD software proficiency.
• Project planning and scheduling expertise.
• BIM implementation experience.
• SCADA and control system design knowledge.
• Solar AC and Solar DC design capabilities.
