About the role
We are looking for a Project Engineer I to support the design and delivery of static and rotating asset fault models and predictive‑maintenance solutions for refinery, oil & gas and petrochemical customers. The role works closely with Honeywell subject‑matter experts and client teams to translate site data into actionable reliability insights.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support to project teams and SMEs for end‑to‑end design and delivery of fault models and predictive maintenance solutions.
- Act as a Configuration/Monitoring engineer, delivering planned tasks for projects and asset monitoring.
- Design FMEA blueprints, recommend actions based on site instrumentation, and lead blueprint workshops with client SMEs.
- Develop models and logic using machine learning, prediction, fault tree analysis, and root‑cause failure analysis to identify repetitive failures.
- Support proof‑of‑concepts by analyzing historical asset data, building fault models, and proposing recommendations to avoid failures.
- Evaluate and communicate benefits such as production loss avoidance, shutdown deferral, and cost savings to justify value capture.
- Design methodologies to measure customer KPIs, value capture, and remaining useful life.
Required profile
- 4‑5 years of experience in reliability, condition monitoring, or related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Certifications such as CAT‑III / CAT‑II Vibration Analysis, CMRP, or CRE.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of rotary assets (centrifugal/reciprocating/screw compressors, pumps, gearboxes, gas/steam turbines, blowers, motors, turboexpanders).
- Experience with vibration spectrum analysis, oil analysis, and motor current signature analysis.
- Proficiency in FMEA, machine learning, fault tree analysis, and root‑cause failure analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) techniques.
