Project Engineer – Capital Projects

About the role

ExxonMobil is seeking a Project Engineer to plan and execute capital project scopes across global teams. The role involves coordinating engineering, procurement, construction and start‑up activities while ensuring safety, cost, schedule and quality objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Work with assigned global business units to define project requirements and develop Project Management System deliverables.
• Participate in invitation‑to‑tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection.
• Oversee engineering design, execution planning, procurement, system completion and start‑up phases.
• Steward contractor performance, align key stakeholders and engage internal discipline experts.
• Coordinate issue identification, resolution processes and smooth transitions between project stages and sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with a CGPA of 6.5 or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of experience executing capital projects, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, construction or fertilizer sectors.
• Diverse project experience covering engineering, procurement, construction, project management and controls.
• Exposure to at least two of the following: engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, brownfield execution, turnaround.
