Project Accounting Analyst – GB/G

About the role

BASF is building a new Global Hub in India and seeks a Project Accounting Analyst to support business units throughout the project lifecycle, from approval to asset capitalization and write‑offs. You will work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment alongside finance and HR teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly project accounting activities for BASF group companies and businesses in the Americas.
• Close medium‑complexity companies while ensuring data quality for project portfolios.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures related to project accounting.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and other organizational tasks.

Required profile

• Graduate in Public Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in project accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, global environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP FICO/MM.
