Professor of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Chemistry

About the role

Rama University seeks a full‑time Professor to lead teaching and research in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The role involves delivering lectures, supervising research, developing curricula, and contributing to departmental administration while complying with PCI, UGC and university regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
• Design and update curriculum, course materials and innovative teaching methods.
• Guide M.Pharm and Ph.D. scholars through research projects and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in Scopus/SCI/UGC‑CARE indexed journals and secure research grants, consultancy projects and patents.
• Supervise laboratory activities and ensure optimal use of research facilities.
• Mentor junior faculty and support academic excellence within the department.
• Organise seminars, conferences, FDPs, workshops and continuing‑education programmes.
• Participate in accreditation, quality‑assurance, NAAC/NBA/NIRF initiatives and regulatory inspections.
• Develop collaborations with industry, hospitals, research organisations and other academic institutions.
• Perform academic, administrative and examination‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognised university.
• M.Pharm in the relevant specialization with First Class.
• Qualifications and experience as per PCI and UGC norms for a Professor.
• Strong research record with publications, funded projects, patents and experience supervising Ph.D. scholars.
• Experience in academic administration, curriculum development and securing sponsored research.
