About the role

The School of Law, Governance and Public Policy (SLGPP) at Chanakya University in Bengaluru seeks a distinguished scholar to join as a Professor of Law. The role combines teaching, research leadership, and curriculum development within an interdisciplinary environment that bridges law, governance, and public policy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and curriculum design across core law subjects.
• Mentor undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, as well as early‑career faculty.
• Develop and lead funded research projects and build collaborative networks nationally and internationally.
• Contribute to institution‑building activities, including programme design, academic governance, and strategic initiatives.
• Teach and create courses in areas such as Constitutional Law, Law and Public Policy, Technology Regulation, International Law, and Law for Development and Sustainability.
• Support experiential learning through moot courts, policy labs, research clinics, and interdisciplinary seminars.

Required profile

• PhD in Law or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
• Distinguished record of scholarly publications in reputable journals or books.
• 10–15 years of teaching and research experience at a university or research institution.
• Demonstrated academic leadership, mentorship experience, and ability to develop research programmes.
• Evidence of national or international academic engagement, including collaborations, projects, or policy contributions.
