Professor of Law – Full‑time Academic Position

About the role

The Law School seeks a distinguished Professor of Law to deliver high‑quality instruction, advance legal scholarship, and mentor the next generation of legal professionals. This full‑time position combines teaching, research, and service within a vibrant academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and teach core and elective law courses such as Constitutional Law, Contracts, and Torts, using case‑study methods, mock trials, and online platforms.
• Develop syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments that foster critical thinking and analytical reasoning.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and present findings at national and international conferences.
• Secure external research grants and fellowships where applicable.
• Advise and mentor students on academic pathways, internships, and career planning; supervise theses, dissertations, and student research projects.
• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees; engage with the broader legal profession through bar associations, pro‑bono work, and amicus briefs.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.), Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) or Ph.D. in Law from an accredited institution.
• Active bar membership or prior license to practice law (highly preferred).
• Minimum 12 years of higher‑education teaching experience or an equivalent record of legal scholarship.
• Significant practical experience in private practice, public service, judiciary, or non‑profit legal sectors.
• Robust peer‑reviewed publication portfolio demonstrating expertise in a legal discipline.
