About the role

Hooghly Engineering and Technology College is seeking a full‑time Professor of Computer Science and Engineering to join its faculty on the Hooghly campus. The role involves teaching, research, and academic leadership within a vibrant engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in core Computer Science subjects.
• Supervise laboratory sessions, student projects, and dissertations.
• Mentor students in academic and professional development.
• Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and secure research funding.
• Participate in curriculum design, continuous program improvement, and accreditation activities.
• Contribute to departmental administration and collaborate on academic initiatives.
• Engage in seminars, workshops, and industry outreach to enrich the learning environment.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Strong research record with publications and conference participation.
• Prior experience in an accredited engineering institution is highly desirable.
• Commitment to ethical practices and continuous professional development.
