Professor – Engineering & Technology (Full‑time)

About the role

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in Akhnoor is seeking a full‑time Professor to join its engineering faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching, guiding laboratory and project work, and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses.
• Design, update, and maintain course curricula in line with industry standards.
• Guide laboratory sessions, project work, and student research initiatives.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain academic records.
• Conduct scholarly research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and secure funded projects.
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
• Foster industry linkages and contribute to quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in an engineering or technology discipline from a recognized university.
• Proven university‑level teaching experience and curriculum development expertise.
• Strong record of research publications and ability to manage funded projects.
• Experience mentoring students on projects, theses, and academic advising.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical academic practices and continuous professional development.
• Experience with accreditation processes or outcome‑based education is an advantage.
