Production Technician – Refinery Operations

About the role

The Production Technician will operate and monitor key refinery equipment at Bunge's plant in Rajpura, ensuring safe, efficient and quality production of edible oils and related products. The role involves hands‑on operation, preventive maintenance and adherence to GMP, food safety and chemical safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate churn‑cum‑blending, short‑mix, bleacher, autoclave, deodorization, fractionation and acid‑oil units according to established procedures.
• Perform pre‑operation checks, start‑up activities and ensure equipment is ready for production.
• Monitor plant parameters, maintain log‑books and take corrective actions to minimise unplanned stoppages.
• Maintain cleanliness of the churn and blending area and enforce 5S standards.
• Supervise and guide contractual manpower deployed in the churn and blending sections.
• Control quality parameters and minimise waste within defined standards.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions and apply learned improvements on the shop floor.

Required profile

• ITI qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in edible‑oil or FMCG manufacturing.
• Ability to work safely in a refinery environment and follow GMP, food‑safety and chemical‑safety protocols.
