Production Support - AVP

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead the Production Support function for a strategic Capital Markets platform. The role focuses on derivatives settlements and post‑trade processing, ensuring stability, availability and operational excellence of business‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end production support for capital markets applications, managing major incidents, problems, events and change following ITIL best practices.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (development, infrastructure, database, middleware, network and business operations) to resolve production issues and drive rapid service restoration.
• Conduct production health checks, sanity testing, SLA/KPI monitoring and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Plan and execute disaster‑recovery exercises, maintain runbooks, SOPs and support playbooks.
• Support enterprise applications on Unix/Linux, Windows Server, Java and relational databases; develop SQL queries and scripts for Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server.

Required profile

• 10+ years of production or application support experience in financial services, with proven leadership of high‑performing support teams.
• Strong incident, problem and change management expertise using ITIL processes and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations, executive communications and global production escalations.
