Production Operator – Manufacturing & Packaging

About the role

The Production Operator works on the front line of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth operation of packaging and casing equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment, provide relief for other operators, and report any line issues.
• Use OIT Screen software and Laboratory Information System (LIS) terminals to track downtime.
• Perform daily lift‑truck checks and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) autonomous maintenance.
• Set‑up, operate, and troubleshoot automated casing equipment, marsh printers, bar‑coding systems, and print‑and‑apply labelers.
• Adjust conveyors for changeovers and make minor packaging equipment adjustments.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a Production Operator.
• Good math, communication, and English language skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physical ability to stoop, lift up to 50 lb, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work 8.5‑hour shifts with overtime and any shift as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OIT control panels and OIT Screen software.
• Experience operating automated casing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment start‑up, shutdown, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TPM and autonomous maintenance practices.
• Lift‑truck operation.
• Operation of bar‑coding systems and print‑and‑apply labelers.
• Conveyor adjustment and changeover skills.
