Production Operator – 15‑Month Contract

About the role

The Production Operator works on the front line of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth operation of packaging and casing equipment. You will help identify performance issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, efficient production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment, provide relief for other operators, and report any line problems.
• Use OIT Screen software and Laboratory Information System (LIS) terminals to track downtime.
• Perform daily lift‑truck maintenance checks as required.
• Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and autonomous maintenance activities.
• Set‑up, operate, and troubleshoot casing equipment, including marsh printers, bar‑coding systems, and print‑and‑apply labelers.
• Adjust conveyors for changeovers and make minor packaging equipment adjustments.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Production Operator.
• Good math and communication skills; fluent English.
• Ability to learn and operate OIT control panels and automated casing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude to sequence equipment for start‑up and shutdown.
• Physical ability to stoop, lift up to 50 lb, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work an 8.5‑hour shift with unpaid lunch, overtime and any shift as directed.
