Production Officer – Granulation, Compression, Coating & Encapsulation

About the role

The Production Officer will work in the Granulation, Compression, Coating and Encapsulation sections of Lupin’s manufacturing unit in Jammu. The role ensures that all production activities comply with GMP, GxP and other regulatory requirements while supporting timely delivery of bulk and finished products.

Key responsibilities

• Follow trained SOPs to perform assigned tasks and report any deviations.
• Plan and execute departmental activities according to delivery schedules, ensuring material availability and proper handling of raw materials, bulk and finished goods.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, R&D, Engineering, QA and other functions to maintain smooth production flow.
• Maintain hygiene, discipline and current good manufacturing practices in all production areas.
• Optimize manpower, machinery and material usage, manage inventory and allocate jobs effectively.
• Investigate deviations, non‑conformities and complaints, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support validation activities, prepare and review qualification documents and update procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement change controls.
• Report discrepancies, non‑conformance or incidents to the department and QA heads.
• Perform any other assignments given by the Unit Head.

Required profile

• Graduation in Pharmacy.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical production.
• Understanding of GMP, GxP and EH&S requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
